here's mine :.
back in the early 90's we went to the sunday talk and wt study.. lo and behold, a friend from the 70's who was df'ed ( he had just been reinstated) was there along with his parents.
i had no idea that they would have been there.. one of my kids was getting sick, so my wife and i were up-down the entire meeting walking him around.
The worst meeting I ever attended was a congregation book study at the home of the cheapest brother ever.
He worked second shift so he was never at the book study. His wife had such a fear of him even when he was at work. She couldn't drive,go shopping or talk on the phone when he wasn't home.
They never used their air-conditioner because it cost money. This particular week it was 100 degrees. And inside their home it was even hotter. We could hardly breath. The study conductor asked her kindly if she could turn on the air-conditioner for the full hour so we could cool down. She called her cheap husband at work to see if she could turn the air-conditioner on. He said ''NO''. We said ,''Just turn it on for an hour or so. He'll never know.'' She feared him so much that she refused.
A sister who had asthma fainted and couldn't breath. We took her outside to cool off and washed her face with cold water. Someone took her home to cool off. The sister never came to the book study.
1. were you yourself converted from a religion other than jw to becoming a jw by door to door work?.
2.did you succeed in converting somebody in your own door to door work causing them to change religions to the point of baptism?.
quick answers, please.. .

If you would like to torture me,just lock me in a room and play this over and over!
so very often i am reminded how much more the wtbts operates as a corporation than a religion.
every meeting has an agenda, and timelines are adhered to.
publishers and pioneers practice their sales techniques in front of their peers for critique, have assigned routes and reporting routines.

There was a time( pre 1980 ) at all the local book studies where you could dress in a regular t-shirt,gym shoes, slacks or jeans. Then one day they announced that all the brothers had to wear a suit and tie to the book study. We asked the conductor why the new change and he said,'' We need to look presentable to all the neighbors who see us get out of our cars and walk to each house.''
Some brothers and sisters homes had no air- conditioners and we walked into a sweat box every week. Also, the conductor wouldn't let us take our suit jackets off.
the governing body of the jehovah's witnesses are the smartest guys in the room.
they are faithful to the rockstar lifestyle and they are discreet like the money changers that jesus threw out of the temple.
they win.
Great video!
I loved when he said,''The scam has been worked for over 100 years.''
Also,I love the all these words thrown in: racket...peddle...lie...pyramid...cult...suckers...nonsense...secret society...carpetbaggers...extortion...deception...coercion...scalawags
a lot of us spend a great deal of time on this board and elsewhere discussing the intricate doctrines of the .
watch tower as if they were legitimate arguments from the bible.. one of these is the issue of blood and blood transfusion.. another is "who is the faithful and discreet slave?".
or "what is the definition of "generation" given in the bible, so we can prove the witnesses wrong?.

On your recent topic ''THE EVER-CHANGING WATCHTOWER DOCTRINES BETRAY ITS CORRUPTION''you said:
''If I had never gone to work at Bethel, their worldwide headquarters in Brooklyn, I might never have met the powers that be that control the operations of this religion, and the sly tricks they used to deceive their own followers.''
Now you say that we all need to stop being naive and use our common sense. Do you think you would of come to your senses if you never worked at Bethel? Do you see how everyone of us were fooled by this manmade organization with madeup rules and doctrines?
i was reading the latest public watchtower and.
it was talking about armageddon.
the article.

They don't sugar coat once you're inside !
I'm inactive and heard a talk by an Elder as to what happens to inactive baptized members: ''Any brother or sister who is inactive while Armageddon arrives will not enter the new earth.''
the ever-changing watch tower doctrines betray its corruption.

This is the best topic ever on JWN!
I was baptized in 1976 at the age of 14. That means close to 35 years following the ever- changing WTBTS. Here's what I've noticed throughout these years:
Everything is volunteered: elders, ministerial servants, cleaning of all kingdom halls and conventions, placing all books and magazines in field service and quick builds of kingdom halls and assembly halls
Too many books and magazines-The WTS sells all reading material to members .....who then go door to door on their own time, wasting their own gas...who are required to hand in a time slip every month making sure everyone makes quota of 10 hours a month
Releashing new books at every convention-treat these books like a Mary Kay convention where members purchase for themselves and family
District and Circuit Overseers-men who follow company rules, pass them onto Elders who pass them on congregation members
Make everyone live in fear and demand unity
just wondering...if there aren't, i'll be sad....
